Government Protected Learning Time Initiative for Health Care Teams
To comply with the above initiative, this Surgery will be closed for protected learning time.
The next meeting is on Tuesday 21st May 2013 when the Surgery will CLOSE from 12.30pm. The Surgery will then re-open on Wednesday 22nd May from 8.00am.

AUTOMATED ARRIVAL SYSTEM
Our surgery has introduced new Automated Arrival System.
This system allows patients to check-in themselves, saving time and avoiding Queues at the reception desk.
It is discreet and and user friendly.
If you experience any difficulties whilst using our new system, please ask member of staff who will be happy to assist you.

NHS 111 is the new three-digit telephone service that's being introduced to improve access to NHS urgent care services. Patients can use this number when they need medical help or advice and it's not urgent enough to call 999.
NHS 111 operates 24/7, 365 days per year and is free to use from a landline and a mobile.

Following intensive work with the Local Area Team and the Department of Health a phased approach to the go live timescales has been agreed. This phased approach will support neighbouring areas and to ensure a safe service for patients.
The timeline is:
Phase One - 25/04/2013: Berkshire East Area Only -
111 will manage the Out of Hours calls for the Berkshire East area, including all mobile calls and land line calls from the following area codes:
Phase Two - 15/05/2013: Berkshire West Area
NHS 111 will manage the Out of Hours calls for the Berkshire West area, including all mobile calls and land line calls from the remaining Berkshire area codes:
Phase Three - 18/06/2013: NHS Direct 08454647 close
NHS Direct 0845 46 47 will become an answer phone message advising callers to dial 111.

EVERGEEN PRACTICE PATIENT PARTICIPATION REPORT 2011/12
During the year a Patient Participation Group was formed in order to attain the views and ideas of as many interested parties as possible.
Participation was and is open to all patients.
The group is representative of the patient population as it includes a mix of male and female patients of all ages and various ethnicities.
The group has identified an issue with advertising and general awareness of our website and Extended Hours Clinic.
A survey was conducted which obtained the views of 68 patients who visited the surgery. The patients were encouraged to express their views and comment on our booking system and our new website.
As a result of the above the group in conjunction with the practice identified the need for additional advertising of extended hours and our website.
The practice has updated patient headed letters, adding our website details.
Leaflets were also updated.
Our extended ours are now advertised on website and also in the reception area.
